Batik is a cloth that traditionally uses a manual wax-resist dyeing technique. Batik or fabrics with the traditional batik patterns are found in (particularly) Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Azerbaijan, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, and Singapore.

Javanese traditional batik, especially from Yogyakarta and Surakarta, has notable meanings rooted to the Javanese conceptualization of the universe. Traditional colours include indigo, dark brown, and white, which represent the three major Hindu Gods (Brahmā, Visnu, and Śiva). This is related to the fact that natural dyes are most commonly available in indigo and brown. Certain patterns can only be worn by nobility; traditionally, wider stripes or wavy lines of greater width indicated higher rank. Consequently, during Javanese ceremonies, one could determine the royal lineage of a person by the cloth he or she was wearing.

Other regions of Indonesia have their own unique patterns that normally take themes from everyday lives, incorporating patterns such as flowers, nature, animals, folklore or people. The colours of pesisir batik, from the coastal cities of northern Java, is especially vibrant, and it absorbs influence from the Javanese, Arab, Chinese and Dutch cultures. In the colonial times pesisir batik was a favourite of the Peranakan Chinese, Dutch and Eurasians.

UNESCO designated Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on October 2, 2009. As part of the acknowledgment, UNESCO insisted that Indonesia preserve their heritage.

Culture

In one form or another, batik has worldwide popularity. Now, not only is batik used as a material to clothe the human body, its uses also include furnishing fabrics, heavy canvas wall hangings, tablecloths and household accessories. Batik techniques are used by famous artists to create batik paintings, which grace many homes and offices.

Batik tulis has both sides of the cloth ornamented.

In Indonesia, traditionally, batik was sold in 2.25-meter lengths used for kain panjang or sarong for kebaya dress. It can also be worn by wrapping it around the body, or made into a hat known as blangkon. Infants are carried in batik slings decorated with symbols designed to bring the child luck. Certain batik designs are reserved for brides and bridegrooms, as well as their families. The dead are shrouded in funerary batik.
Other designs are reserved for the Sultan and his family or their attendants. A person's rank could be determined by the pattern of the batik he or she wore.

For special occasions, batik was formerly decorated with gold leaf or dust. This cloth is known as prada (a Javanese word for gold) cloth. Gold decorated cloth is still made today; however, gold paint has replaced gold dust and leaf.

Batik garments play a central role in certain rituals, such as the ceremonial casting of royal batik into a volcano. In the Javanese naloni mitoni "first pregnancy" ceremony, the mother-to-be is wrapped in seven layers of batik, wishing her good things. Batik is also prominent in the tedak siten ceremony when a child touches the earth for the first time. Batik is also part of the labuhan ceremony when people gather at a beach to throw their problems away into the sea.

The wide diversity of patterns reflects a variety of influences, ranging from indigenous designs, Arabic calligraphy, European bouquets and Chinese phoenixes to Japanese cherry blossoms and Indian or Persian peacocks.

Contemporary batik, while owing much to the past, is markedly different from the more traditional and formal styles. For example, the artist may use etching, discharge dyeing, stencils, different tools for waxing and dyeing, or wax recipes with different resist values. They may work with silk, cotton, wool, leather, paper, or even wood and ceramics.
The definition sometimes changes depending on the context. In English-speaking countries, the term most commonly refers to Japanese animated cartoons. While the earliest known Japanese animation dates to 1917, and many original Japanese cartoons were produced in the ensuing decades, the characteristic anime style developed in the 1960s—notably with the work of Osamu Tezuka—and became known outside Japan in the 1980s.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Anime, like manga, has a large audience in Japan and recognition throughout the world. Distributors can release anime via television broadcasts, directly to video, or theatrically, as well as online.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Both hand-drawn and computer-animated anime exist. It is used in television series, films, video, video games, commercials, and internet-based releases, and represents most, if not all, genres of fiction. As the market for anime increased in Japan, it also gained popularity in East and Southeast Asia. Anime is currently popular in many different regions around the world.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Many commentators refer to anime as an art form. As a visual medium, it can emphasize visual styles. The styles can vary from artist to artist or from studio to studio. Some titles make extensive use of common stylization: FLCL, for example, has a reputation for wild, exaggerated stylization. Other titles use different methods: Only Yesterday or Jin-Roh take much more realistic approaches, featuring few stylistic exaggerations; Pokémon uses drawings which specifically do not distinguish the nationality of characters While different titles and different artists have their own artistic styles, many stylistic elements have become so common that describe them as definitive of anime in general. However, this does not mean that all modern anime share one strict, common art-style. Many anime have a very different art style from what would commonly be called "anime style", yet fans still use the word "anime" to refer to these titles. Generally, the most common form of anime drawings include "exaggerated physical features such as large eyes, big hair and elongated limbs... and dramatically shaped speech bubbles, speed lines and onomatopoeic, exclamatory typography.

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">The influences of Japanese calligraphy and Japanese painting also characterize linear qualities of the anime style. The round ink brush traditionally used for writing kanji and for painting, produces a stroke of widely varying thickness.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Anime also tends to borrow many elements from manga, including text in the background and panel layouts. For example, an opening may employ manga panels to tell the story, or to dramatize a point for humorous effect. See for example the anime Kare Kano.

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Body proportions emulated in anime come from proportions of the human body. The height of the head is considered by the artist as the base unit of proportion. Head heights can vary as long as the remainder of the body remains proportional. Most anime characters are about seven to eight heads tall, and extreme heights are set around nine heads tall.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Variations to proportion can be modified by the artist. Super-deformed characters feature a non-proportionally small body compared to the head. Sometimes specific body parts, like legs, are shortened or elongated for added emphasis. Most super deformed characters are two to four heads tall. Some anime works like Crayon Shin-chan completely disregard these proportions, such that they resemble Western cartoons. For exaggeration, certain body features are increased in proportion.

<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">Eye styles<span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif";">
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Many anime and manga characters feature large eyes. Osamu Tezuka, who is believed to have been the first to use this technique, was inspired by the exaggerated features of American cartoon characters such as Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, and Disney's Bambi.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Tezuka found that large eyes style allowed his characters to show emotions distinctly. When Tezuka began drawing Ribbon no Kishi, the first manga specifically targeted at young girls, Tezuka further exaggerated the size of the characters' eyes. Indeed, through Ribbon no Kishi, Tezuka set a stylistic template that later shōjo artists tended to follow.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Coloring is added to give eyes, particularly to the cornea, some depth. The depth is accomplished by applying variable color shading. Generally, a mixture of a light shade, the tone color, and a dark shade is used. Cultural anthropologist Matt Thorn argues that Japanese animators and audiences do not perceive such stylized eyes as inherently more or less foreign.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">However, not all anime have large eyes. For example, some of the work of Hayao Miyazaki and Toshiro Kawamoto are known for having realistically proportioned eyes, as well as realistic hair colors on their characters.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Facial expressions
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;">See also: Manga iconography
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Anime characters may employ a variety of predetermined facial expressions to denote moods and thoughts. These techniques are often different in form than their counterparts in western animation, and they include a fixed iconography that's used as shorthand for certain emotions and moods. There are a number of other stylistic elements that are common to conventional anime as well but more often used in comedies. Characters that are shocked or surprised will perform a "fce fault", in which they display an extremely exaggerated expression. Angry characters may exhibit a "vein" or "stress mark" effect, where lines representing bulging veins will appear on their forehead.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;"> Angry women will sometimes summon a mallet from nowhere and strike another character with it, mainly for the sake of slapstick comedy. Male characters will develop a bloody nose around their female love interests (typically to indicate arousal, which is a play on an old wives' tale). Embarrassed or stressed characters either produce a massive sweat-drop (which has become one of the most widely recognized motifs of conventional anime) or produce a visibly red blush or set of parallel (sometimes squiggly) lines beneath the eyes, especially as a manifestation of repressed romantic feelings.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Characters who want to childishly taunt someone may pull an akanbe face (by pulling an eyelid down with a finger to expose the red underside). Characters may also have large "X" eyes to show a knockout, or in some cases, even illness.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">This is typically used for comedic purposes. Vacant, non-reflecting eyes can be used to indicate a state of semi-consciousness.

Animation technique

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Like all animation, the production processes of storyboarding, voice acting, character design, cel production and so on still apply. With improvements in computer technology, computer animation increased the efficiency of the whole production process.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Anime is often considered a form of limited animation. That means that stylistically, even in bigger productions the conventions of limited animation are used to fool the eye into thinking there is more movement than there is. Many of the techniques that are used comprise cost-cutting measures while working under a set budget.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Anime scenes place emphasis on achieving three-dimensional views. Backgrounds depict the scenes' atmosphere.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">For example, anime often puts emphasis on changing seasons, as can be seen in numerous anime, such as Tenchi Muyo. Sometimes actual settings have been duplicated into an anime. The backgrounds for the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are based on various locations within the suburb of Nishinomiya, Hyogo, Japan.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; line-height: normal;">Camera angles, camera movement, and lighting play an important role in scenes. Directors often have the discretion of determining viewing angles for scenes, particularly regarding backgrounds. In addition, camera angles show perspective. Directors can also choose camera effects within cinematography, such as panning, zooming, facial close up, and panoramic.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">The large majority of anime uses traditional animation, which better allows for division of labor, pose to pose approach and checking of drawings before they are shot – practices favored by the anime industry.
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">

When money is placed in the capital markets, it is intended to benefit from the capital invested. Many investors are not only trying to generate a profitable return, but also trying to beat the market.

However, market efficiency, a formula contained in the efficient market hypothesis (HPE), which was discovered by Eugene Fama 1970 work, saying that the price truly reflect all available information on a stock or market in a period. Therefore, according to HPE, no one investor who will get the advantage in predicting stock prices for access to information is available to all.

Efficiency effects: Not Predictive
The information available is not only limited to financial news and research, despite the information on the political, economic, and social events, combined with the attitude of investors in information, whether true or just rumor, will be reflected in stock prices. According to the HPE, no one who has the ability to roll up another person's loss because prices respond only on the information available in the market, and because all market participants have access to the same information.

In an efficient market, price becomes a random move, so it is difficult to predict, so there's no lasting investment patterns. The pattern of price moves randomly generates the failure of an investment strategy that aims to beat the market consistently.

Challenges To Efficiency
In the real world of investing, there are many arguments against the theory of HPE. There are investors who constantly beat the market, such as Warren Buffett, of which investment strategy focuses on undervalued stocks. This strategy succeeded in generating billions of dollars for him and give a lot of followers. There is an investment manager who has a better record than the other, and there are securities that do more research than others. So how can the performance of random when clearly there are people who get the profits and beat the market?

Studies in behavioral finance, which looks at psychological investors on stock prices, suggesting that there are some predictable patterns in stock market. Investors tend to buy stocks that are undervalued and sell overvalued stocks, and in a market with many market participants, the results can be anything but efficient.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2152002284632553223.post-11868537000765523832011-07-05T23:04:00.001+07:002011-10-03T14:24:16.039+07:00Electronic commerce

Electronic commerce or e-commerce is the deployment, purchasing, sales, marketing goods and services over electronic systems such as the Internet or television, www, or other computer networks. There is considerable variation in the precise ingredients, with common local herbs often being substituted. On the morning of January 7, or the night before, people place the nanakusa, rice scoop, and/or wooden pestle on the cutting board and, facing the good-luck direction, chant "Before the birds of the continent (China) fly to Japan, let's get nanakusa" while cutting the herbs into pieces. The chant may vary. The seventh of the first month has been an important Japanese festival since ancient times. The custom of eating nanakusa-gayu on this day, to bring longevity and health, developed in Japan from a similar ancient Chinese custom, intended to ward off evil. Since there is little green at that time of the year, the young green herbs bring color to the table and eating them suits the spirit of the New Year.

The sport originated in Japan, the only country where it is practiced professionally. It is generally considered to be a gendai budō (a modern Japanese martial art), though this definition is incorrect as the sport has a history spanning many centuries. Many ancient traditions have been preserved in sumo, and even today the sport includes many ritual elements, such as the use of salt purification, from the days when sumo was used in the Shinto religion. Life as a rikishi is highly regimented, with rules laid down by the Sumo Association. Most sumo wrestlers are required to live in communal "sumo training stables" known in Japanese as heya where all aspects of their daily lives—from meals to their manner of dress—are dictated by strict tradition.

The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami. The number of basic origami folds is small, but they can be combined in a variety of ways to make intricate designs. The best known origami model is probably the Japanese paper crane. In general, these designs begin with a square sheet of paper whose sides may be different colors or prints. Traditional Japanese origami, which has been practiced since the Edo era (1603–1867), has often been less strict about these conventions, sometimes cutting the paper or using nonsquare shapes to start with.

Many of the varieties that have been cultivated for ornamental use do not produce fruit. Edible cherries generally come from cultivars of the related species Prunus avium and Prunus cerasus.
Cherry blossoms are indigenous to many East Asian states including Japan, Korea, and China. Japan has a wide variety of cherry blossoms (sakura): well over 200 cultivars can be found there. "Hanami" is the centuries-old practice of picnicking under a blooming sakura or ume tree. The custom is said to have started during the Nara Period (710–794) when it was ume blossoms that people admired in the beginning. But by the Heian Period (794–1185), cherry blossoms came to attract more attention and hanami was synonymous with sakura. From then on, in tanka and haiku, "flowers" meant "sakura." The custom was originally limited to the elite of the Imperial Court, but soon spread to samurai society and, by the Edo period, to the common people as well. Tokugawa Yoshimune planted areas of cherry blossom trees to encourage this. Under the sakura trees, people had lunch and drank sake in cheerful feasts. Every year the Japanese Meteorological Agency and the public track the sakura zensen (cherry-blossom front) as it moves northward up the archipelago with the approach of warmer weather via nightly forecasts following the weather segment of news programs. The blossoming begins in Okinawa in January and typically reaches Kyoto and Tokyo at the end of March or the beginning of April. It proceeds into areas at the higher altitudes and northward, arriving in Hokkaidō a few weeks later. Japanese pay close attention to these forecasts and turn out in large numbers at parks, shrines, and temples with family and friends to hold flower-viewing parties. Hanami festivals celebrate the beauty of the cherry blossom and for many are a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The custom of hanami dates back many centuries in Japan: the eighth-century chronicle Nihon Shoki (日本書紀) records hanami festivals being held as early as the third century CE. Varieties and blooming:

Prunus serrulata

Prunus speciosa

Prunus × yedoensis

Prunus sargentii

The most popular variety of cherry blossom in Japan is the Somei Yoshino. Its flowers are nearly pure white, tinged with the palest pink, especially near the stem. They bloom and usually fall within a week, before the leaves come out. Therefore, the trees look nearly white from top to bottom. The variety takes its name from the village of Somei (now part of Toshima in Tokyo). It was developed in the mid- to late-19th century at the end of the Edo period and the beginning of the Meiji period. The Somei Yoshino is so widely associated with cherry blossoms that jidaigeki and other works of fiction often depict the variety in the Edo period or earlier; such depictions are anachronisms.Winter sakura (fuyuzakura/Prunus subhirtella autumnalis) begins to bloom in the fall and continues blooming sporadically throughout the winter. It is said to be a cross between Tokyo Higan cherry (edohiganzakura/P. incisa) and Mamezakura/P. pendula. Other categories include yamazakura, yaezakura, and shidarezakura. The yaezakura have large flowers, thick with rich pink petals. The shidarezakura, or weeping cherry, has branches that fall like those of a weeping willow, bearing cascades of pink flowers.
Kabuki is therefore sometimes translated as "the art of singing and dancing." These are, however, ateji characters which do not reflect actual etymology. The kanji of 'skill' generally refers to a performer in kabuki theatre. Since the word kabuki is believed to derive from the verb kabuku, meaning "to lean" or "to be out of the ordinary", kabuki can be interpreted as "avant-garde" or "bizarre" theatre. The expression kabukimono (歌舞伎者) referred originally to those who were bizarrely dressed and swaggered on a street.

The entrepreneur creates a new business in the face of risk and uncertainty for the purpose of achieving profit and growth by identifying significant opportunities and resources required.
define entrepreneurs as people who are good or talented to identify new products, develop new ways of producing, collating operation for the procurement of new products, manage capital operations, and marketing it. Meanwhile, Louis Jacques Filion described the entrepreneur as an imaginative person, which is characterized by its ability to set goals and reach those goals. He also has a high awareness to find opportunities and make decisions. The equation of sense - the sense is that entrepreneurs have and be able to think creatively, imaginatively, seeing opportunities and create new business. An entrepreneur is a manager, but perform additional activities that do not do all the managers. Managers work in a more formal management hierarchy, with authority and responsibility clearly defined while the entrepreneurs using the network rather than from formal authority. Mitos- mitos tentang wirausahawan katanya wirausahawan adalah pelaku, bukan pemikir. Seringkali mereka adalah orang yang sangat metodis sehingga merencanakan tindakan mereka dengan hati-hati. They are born, not created. Today, recognition Adiscipline EAS helps to eliminate this myth. Like all disciplines, entrepreneurs have the model, processes, and cases that allows topics to be studied.

They are the inventors, such as Ray Kroc, was not he who finds food franchises, but innovative ideas to create the world's largest McDonalds.

They are freaks of academic and social development, the belief that entrepreneurs are academics and socialization is not successful as a result of some business owners who started a successful company after dropping out of school or quit work but are no longer considered so, now seen as a professional.

All need good luck, right when the luck was in the right place at the right time will always generate a profit. But luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.

Orientation of the entrepreneur is money, money is a resource, but never a final destination.

Entrepreneurs are risk takers extreme (gamblers), in contrast to work with a calculated risk.

The key to identifying the entrepreneur spirit is to look at a person's character, especially on things that become habitual, natural and well done. Each of us, have a certain arrangement of characters that make us, what it is. We use words to describe the theme of character elements that make up the array of characters. Someone know the theme of Character is the beginning. Character is the core theme, such as the center of a snowball gathering more snow when rolling down the hill. He gathered knowledge and experience in the process. Character themes form the knowledge and experience in a related area. When a person with creativity as the dominant theme of character, will have more ability to cope with situations that require adaptation and change compared with that having a theme of characters with lower creativity. Life experience can develop and strengthen the character themes, but can also reduce them. Education and training also provides the shape and size of the snowball, the importance of knowing the theme of our character can not be underestimated otherwise the sooner we know it would be better.The entrepreneur has six main themes that shape the character of the acronym:

Focus

Advantage

Creativity

Ego

Team

Social

There are four subcategories become entrepreneurs:

Inventors, defines the concept, unique, new, discovery or methodology.

Innovator, implementing a new technology or methodology to solve new problems.

Marketers, to identify needs in the marketplace and fill it with new products or product substitution is more efficient.

Opportunist, is basically a broker, brokers, who match the needs with the services provided and the commission.

Skills required by entrepreneurs can be grouped into three main areas: technical skills such as writing, listening, oral presentations, organizing, coaching, working in teams, and technical know-how (know-how), business management skills, including things in initiate, develop, and manage the company. Skills in decision making, marketing, management, finance, accounting, production, control, and negotiation is also very important in building and developing new business. Skills latter involves entrepreneurial skills. Some of these skills, distinguish entrepreneurs from managers include discipline, risk takers, innovative, strong, visionary leadership, and change-oriented.

Failure to Develop a Strategic Plan.
Fail to plan, is to fail to survive.

Growth Not Controlled

Bad Items Inventory Control

Price Not Right
Setting the right price so as to produce the expected benefits requires business owners understand how much it costs to make, memaasarkan and distribute goods and services.

Inability in Making the Transition Entreprenurial
After starting, there will be growth, usually requires a very different management styles. Growth requires the entrepreneur to delegate authority and does not handle - the daily operational activities - something that can not be done by him.

Here are the solutions to overcome them:

Know the business in depth.

Develop a thorough business plan.

Managing finances.

Understanding financial statements.

Learning to manage people effectively.

Take care of your condition.
